Maintaining a good health in this fast phase of life is very important & indeed a need to carry on our activities. Exercises are ok but not up to the mark. Some tough exercises can prove to be a boon to your body.
Mostly, I personally think that exercises which are their in Martial Arts that should be practiced. It's somewhat heavy but trust me it's really worth it. And along with some defence techniques, you will enjoy it. Actually it's a plus point where along with your health you are trained for self defense as well..
Kung Fu is the one which I love & personally trained & practicing since last 3 years. It's one of the most practiced martial arts all over the world. Self defense, mind control, concentration, calmness, discipline are some of the things you will learn in this. I don't know much about other martial art forms but this I can say if you practiced it than you can face any of the martial art challenger. It's that good enough.
Bodhidharma is the father of Kung Fu. From him came this unique technique. I used to run 10 km daily & another 2 hours of heavy exercise. But if you have some time limit, you can practice at least for 1 hour which should include warm up, punch push up, finger push up, 2 finger push up, stretching, punches, front kicks, hammer kick, crunches, etc. Just all this that set. If you can buy dummy block than that's great because in that you can use techniques which can be used in real fight.
You don't have to go to gyms & spend lots of money to be fit or slim or healthy. Just practice this for 1 month & experience the difference. You will be more fit than a person who regularly goes to gym. You can try any of the martial arts but my favourite is Kung Fu & I will always recommend this.
